The Guitaret Album
A guitaret is a rare lamellophone instrument build in the mid-1960s. I own one, and together with the nice people from the Facebook guitaret fan group,
I created this little free download album of guitaret pieces -
I contributed two tracks
-
Twelve/Eight music
I played "a nod to early Philip Glass minimalism" on this
4-hour livelooping compilation on Bandcamp - this album was produced by a collective of artists, wanting to mark the last consecutive day in our lifetimes 12.12.12. So, on this day or around this day we came up with a piece, a lot of them 12 minutes long, with the theme 12.

Fading Memories
More than one hour of guitar/ambient/fieldrecording sound clouds, now
on Bandcamp
-
Video DVD
I have been asked to put some of my videos on DVD, so I made one - a
double DVD
with more than 3 hours of concert footage and abstract ambient/minimalist videos
-
Palatia Electronica
Gerd Weyhing organized a wonderful mini livelooping festival on December 22 in
Lauterbourg, Alsace,
starring Gerd, Leander Reininghaus, and myself. Here is
my first set -
there is some soloing on my brand new 30 year old GR-300 guitar synth, a wonderful piece of vintage gear
that I fell in love with recently
-
11Eleven Project
November 11th, 2011 incited several projects - one of them was a
compilation of livelooping music,
all recorded on this day at 11:11. Another, much more ambitious project (started in Australia) was the
11Eleven Project that resulted in a wonderful 80 minute movie
about this day. I felt very proud to see my livelooping guitar music turn up in one beautiful scene in the movie. The movie was released
and screened in many cinemas around the world on November 11, 2012. There will be a DVD - be sure to watch this film, it is really
beautiful and quite moving

Experimental Guitar Evening III
Craig Green came from Idaho and did a little European tour again. One of the tour dates was Cologne and the third evening of
experimental guitar music in Cologne's Loft, again with Michael Frank, Craig Green, and Michael Peters. Video later.
-
Fading Memories
was an art exhibition in Bonn, Germany. I created a very dreamy atmospheric soundscape for the exhibition opening. Watch the
dreamy video here
-
Gogo Moka
is said to mean something like "orienting towards the light". Looping colleagues Alexander Meyen (violin) and Eela Soley
(voice, keyboards, flutes), with me on guitar, created an evening of improvised music, Janina Bobrowski danced, PhilX & Anne Nouwynck decorated the stage.
We had a very pleasant and promising evening in a theater in Cologne. It seems
Gogo Moka
will become a project!

England mini tour
After the Tuesday's Post gig in early September in London, I also played on a very nice little festival in Penarth near Cardiff.
David Cooper Orton had put together a great album with music by all participants -
listen here.
Here is a video from London
and here one from Penarth (with Fabio Anile)
-
Florence FLLF
Another wonderful open air livelooping festival in Florence, organized by Massimo Liverani.
Big fun and a very international meeting of livelooping artists from Italy, England, Singapur, Chile, and Mexico.
How much fun we had can be seen in this video.
Here is a piece from my solo set
and here's another one.
-
Klangwellen
This livelooping festival in a Cologne church was a delight, not only musically but also visually.
The evening's final trio improvisation (see youtube) gives a good impression
-
new Chain Tape Collective projects
"One Minute"
is a great collection of 35 miniatures in many different styles, some of them by me
-
Crickets and bats
A bat detector recording from my garden is part of the
"Somewhere on the edge"
field recording compilation by Gruenrekorder
-
11-11-11
A guitar improvisation called 11-11-11 is part of this very nice
11-11-11
compilation of livelooping tracks, all recorded at 11:11 on November 11, 2011, and mostly 11 minutes long
-
Catchdadtesting at Lied United
A 27 minute live recording of a livelooping improvisation using (among others) an audio plugin called "catchdad"
can be watched on Youtube
