In the early eighties, New Wave hit Germany as "Neue Deutsche Welle", and lyrics were often in German.
Hartmut ‘Heity’ Block founded a band called "Die Partei", later called "Die Härte".
In spite of musical differences, we stayed together for a year or two,
composing about ten pieces and playing three gigs, one of them (Stollwerck building, Cologne, 1981) being a
festival gig.
I began that gig with a frippertronics solo, using two Revox tape recorders, while Ralf Bosten scanned the audience with his binoculars. The audience loved our set even though our instruments were badly out of tune. During the fast pieces, dozens of punks danced Pogo. I've never seen people dance Pogo to my music again :-)
